Review: Elf Mad for Matte Palette

Makeup by Mario Master Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills: Review and Swatches!

As soon as I saw the Makeup by Mario palette on Anastasia Beverly Hills' Instagram I needed to have it. It's the perfect semi-neutral palette for me: plenty of wearable shades along with a few pops of color. I've been curious about Anastasia's eyeshadow formula for ages but the Modern Renaissance palette looked too warm for me, so when this one came along I snatched it up!

Morphe 35OS Palette Review and Swatches

With the leaves finally starting to turn, I want my eyes to match those gorgeous warm brown/red shades on the trees! Perhaps the perfect palettes for this time of the year are from the Morphe 35O collection, including the original 35O, the 35OM, and my most recent purchase, the Morphe 35OS.

While the 35O has certainly received a lot of hype for being an affordable palette that packs a punch, I’ve always been a bigger fan of shimmer shades so when I saw the 35OS palette available on Hautelook I added it to my bag and checked out as quickly as I could!

Top Five Eyeshadow Palettes

 Looking through my eyeshadow collection, I definitely tend to use palettes more often than singles, duos, or quads. Palettes have so much variability and you can use one palette to create many different eye looks, therefore I reach for them on the daily. Some are better than others, of course, so here are the ones that I use the most often!

My aunt is an avid Clinique fan and she is often sent samples, which she is kind enough to regift to me! The latest products I’ve received are from the recent Clinique Pop collection including two eyeshadow duos and two lipsticks. I’ve been testing them out for the past few weeks and I can’t wait to tell you my thoughts!

Review: Stila "In the Light" Palette

This Stila palette, one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes, comes with ten shades, an eyeliner, a magnetic-close case, and a big mirror. While I haven’t tested out the eyeliner as thoroughly as the shadows, the overall palette is an amazing purchase and I absolutely adore it.  

All of the shades are wearable—not quite in the “nude” category, but still subtle and very blendable. The palette has four matte shades and six shimmery shades that can be combined in so many different ways! My favorite shades are kitten, bubbly, and luster, but I have used all of them. The only shade I don’t really like is night sky because it’s a metallic gray-toned blue, and I don’t like blue shades paired with my brown eyes. When I do use it, I use it sparingly blended with the other shades.
