August Ipsy Bag Review

Usually I find myself eagerly awaiting my Ipsy bag—I love being surprised by the products I get, and most of the time I get at least one or two items that I really enjoy and I use regularly. This month I had some debit card drama and had to get a new one. Ipsy couldn’t charge my card at the beginning of the month and by the time I updated my info, I wasn’t guaranteed to get an August Glam Bag. By the time the middle of the month passed I figured I wasn’t going to get it, but it arrived a few days ago!

Trust Fund Beauty Liquid Lipstick in K, Bye
This is by far my favorite item! The shade is a gorgeous rosy nude that is perfect for fall. I tried it out yesterday and I liked the formula—it’s not too drying and it applies opaque. It took about a half hour to dry down matte but it isn’t completely transfer proof. It reminds me of the Tarteist Lippie Paints. It lasted from the time I applied it until I ate dinner, about three hours. If I’d eaten something less greasy (I had pizza) I think it would have lasted longer.

It Haircare 12 in One Amazing Leave-in Product
I’m really happy with the size of this product, it barely fits in the bag! I think it’s the biggest item I’ve ever gotten from Ipsy. This is essentially a leave in conditioner that claims to have 12 benefits along the line of protecting the hair and making it soft, shiny and silky. My dry, chlorinated hair could definitely use a bit of that! I used this once and my hair did feel softer, but I would have to try it out for a longer amount of time to see if it works for me.

Pacifica Bronzer in Sunkissed
I’m on the fence about this sample-size bronzer. The shade is much darker than what I’d usually go for, which makes me worry about going overboard. However, it’s also blendable and has a pretty sheen to it (no glitter). For now I will use it as a travel bronzer.

Dermelect Nail Polish (shade not listed)
I haven’t tried this product yet but I think I’ll use this bright purple-pink on my toes when my current polish wears off.

Nyx Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam
The last product was this liquid highlighter from Nyx. It looked promising, the pearly pink reminding me of Benefit’s Highbeam. Unfortunately, this has some visible glitter/shimmer in it that is too noticeable for my personal tastes.

                                                         K, Bye, Sunkissed, Sunbeam

As for the bag itself, this month there were two different designs and I like the blue one that I got. This isn’t my favorite Glam Bag but I’m really excited about the liquid lipstick and the leave in conditioner, so it’s not my least favorite, either!

Which of these products would you be excited about?
