Over the past month or so I've been making a lot of little beauty purchases--an online order here, a drugstore purchase there--and I noticed it's all been adding up! Often I'll buy a product and like it, but never get around to doing a full review on it so I figured this would be a good way to share my thoughts about my recent purchases!
Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours the Brave palette
This one I won't go too in-depth with as you can expect a full review within a few weeks! I've been playing around with this for about two weeks now and I'm pretty happy with it, especially considering the price! This is my first Makeup Revolution product so now I'm excited to try more from the brand. Also, in reference to my last post, this palette has inspired me to try more eye looks with color. Look at all those beautiful shades!
L'Oreal Collection Exclusive Blake's Red and Blake's Pink
Blake Lively is one of my style and beauty icons so I've been eying up her nude, red, and pink lipstick collaborations for ages! They were finally restocked at my local drugstore so I snatched up the red and the pink shades. Both are matte, with the red being a very true, blue-based red with some serious pigmentation and the pink being very bright but less opaque. I've only had the chance to wear the pink and I really liked it, the color is perfect for spring and it lasted quite well.
Stila Neapolitan eyeshadow trio
The Stila palette that I own is one of my all-time favorites, so when I saw this Stila trio for only $6.00 I knew I had to have it! I've been wearing these pretty much every day I'm not wearing the Fortune Favours the Brave palette, the colors are just the type that I love. These shadows are soft and blend like a dream, I might end up doing a full review on them but regardless I swatched them below! Also the amount of product included in this is huge. What a steal!
Wet n' Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer
I'll admit, I'm not big on eyeshadow primers. I only have one and that's just because I got it as a gift, otherwise I probably wouldn't have any. But when I heard a few of my favorite vloggers/bloggers choosing this over the likes of Urban Decay and Too Faced I knew I had to try it and see what I've been missing! To be honest I haven't noticed a difference, but I'm thinking about only wearing the primer on one eye and seeing how the shadow fades throughout the day with and without the primer. I'm getting experimental in the name of beauty.
Colourpop Lippie Stix in Aquarius
I've been seeing this on so many blogs lately that it felt like a sign, one because I love nude lip products and two because I'm an aquarius! This is my first Colourpop purchase and I really love the color and the consistency of this. Aquarius is a pinky-beige nude that I love, and it seems a bit more cool-toned than other nudes that I own which sets it apart from my other products. I can't wait to try this out and I'm now planning my next Colourpop purchase!
Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder in Audrey
It's been way too long since I bought a new highlighter, and this is one that always caught my attention online! The Star Powder line is a collection of highlighters inspired by Old Hollywood actresses like Grace Kelly, Sophia Lauren, and Marilyn Monroe. With Audrey Hepburn being one of my biggest inspirations (and after seeing the gorgeous swatches of the Star Powder!) I decided to purchase the Audrey one. This was yet another steal--Gerard is always having great deals so I picked up this $36 highlight for only $15 with free shipping! I haven't tried this on my cheekbones yet, but the swatches are impressive and very, very intense. I'll probably end up doing a full review on this gorgeous gold highlight soon so stay tuned! Oh and PS these are still on sale if you want to snatch one up for yourself!

And there you have it--all of my May purchases! Starting in June I'll be working two jobs so my posting may not be as regular, but I have a lot planned so I hope you'll stick along for the ride.
Xx Katie
OMG the Stila palette and the highlighter were such steals! Not only a great price, but I love the pigmentation of the colors, especially the highlight. Love your lipstick choices too. I've actually been stalking the Colourpop site and writing down all the colors I want (there are many), but I haven't made the jump just yet. Would love to see a review on the eyeshadow primer! :)

I don't know what I would do without an eyeshadow primer, honestly. They have changed my life! lol. I have the Loreal lipsticks in Eva's Pink and Jennifer's Pink. Eva's pink is too bubble gummy on me whereas Jennifer's Pink is that hot pink I love.
