I was a bit naughty recently and had a little splurge at Sephora, TJ Maxx and the drugstore! Yes, my tiny little town finally got a Sephora. There isn't a ton to choose from as it mostly carries Sephora collection, but it's better than nothing! I've been testing out most of these products for at least a week or so, so I'll be including mini reviews in this haul as well.
Origins Deep Conditioner Mask (not pictured)
I'm officially hooked on hair masks. I've tried a few in the past that didn't do anything special, but then I received a sample from Briogeo in an Ipsy bag and really liked it. I found this Origins one at TJ Maxx and I love their skincare so I figured I'd give their haircare a go! So far I'm not terribly impressed. It has a pleasant lavender scent but it doesn't give long-lasting effects.
Small Z Palette
The other week I had an absolute catastrophe when I dropped my MAC Pro Palette and all my Makeup Geek eyeshadows (which don't stick secured to MAC palettes) fell out! My foiled Starry Eyed shadow completely shattered and a few other ones got all dented. After that, I knew I needed to get a more secure palette and these cute little Z palettes were carried at the new Sephora. All of my non-MAC shadows fit in here and my newest Makeup Geek order should, too, so this will do my nicely until I can get a larger metallic palette.
Covergirl Lipstick in Sultry Sienna
This was a complete impulse buy after seeing Tati (GlamLifeGuru on YouTube) rave about this shade in one of her videos. The formula is very creamy and the color is perfect for fall! I can see myself wearing it a lot.
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
I've heard this raved about a thousand times but I always passed over it in the drugstore. In that lighting and in the packaging, it looked very orange and glittery to me. I finally caved in and bought it and as soon as I got it open I could see what the fuss is about! It's a beautiful peachy shade with no glitter, but a bit of a sheen and a ton of pigment to it. This will be an amazing spring and summer shade.
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
This is a repurchase as my first bottle has nearly run out! I debated about whether or not to try a new cleanser, but this one removes my makeup and makes my skin feel awake, if that makes sense. It's a bit harsh for my dry skin but when followed up with a thick moisturizer it isn't a problem! If you have oily skin I recommend it, my sister always uses mine. Also it's black...pretty cool.
L'Oreal Exfoliate and Refine Red Algae Clay mask
There was quite a bit of hype around these when they first came out so I decided to finally try one. They all sounded nice but I'm a mermaid/ocean type of girl so when one has algae ingredients, I'll pick it over the others. I only used it once but it was nice. Nothing special so far, but better than an exfoliating Glam Glow mask I spent four times the money on!
Measurable Difference Amaranth Hydrating Body Oil
I'll admit it, the packaging completely sold me on this product. It's a body oil with little red clover flowers floating inside of it! It looks so cute on my vanity (it reminds me of those jelly flower lipsticks) and the ingredients are pretty nice, as well. It's got a ton of different oils, including almond, soy, apricot, and sunflower oil. I like to put oil on my legs in the winter because they get pretty dry, and this smells like apricots so it will be nice to use.
Comadone Extractor (not pictured)
If you didn't know, I'm a proud popaholic. Whenever I get a pimple I can't help but pop it, and I like popping other people's, too. Half of you reading this are probably like "yes, me too!" and everyone else is like "ewwww". Anyway, I used to have an extractor but I lost it, and my life hasn't been the same without it. I saw this at TJ Maxx and didn't hesitate. Am I Dr. Sandra Lee yet?
Too Faced liner
Another TJ Maxx find, I don't have any chubby, smokey-type liners so I thought I'd give this a shot. I promptly broke it but luckily it comes with a sharpener! I think this will be great for going out when I want a really nice smokey eye, it smudges really well if you know what I mean.
Swatches from left to right: Too Faced liner, Luminoso, Sultry Sienna, Biore Charcoal cleanser, L'Oreal Red Algae mask (thin layer)
I feel like I haven't done a haul post in a little while, but I love talking about all the products I've bought because I don't often do an entire post about one product and if I don't love it I won't talk about it in a favorites post, either, so hauls are a great way to share my thoughts on a variety of new purchases. My next one will not be a long wait and it will be a Makeup Geek haul!
What exciting new things have you purchased recently?
Xx Katie
The Covergirl lipstick in Sultry Sienna looks like perfect match for me. Next time I'll go shopping I have to look at this color, because it's beautiful. And the Amaranth oil? The packaging is fabulous and I just wish I was at least litlle bit into oils. :(

I need to get a z palette! Right now all my single shades are just floating around in a container and that is not good for travel haha!

The Milani blushes are the best! I don't have Luminoso but I purchased Baked Amore from the Baked blushes and it is amazing! I remember when I purchased it a few months back, it was the only blush I wore. I will definitely buy Luminoso, it is gorgeous!

Oh gosh everyone's going on about these Milani blushes and I'm sitting here like ??? ahaha. It's difficult to find Milani here in Australia, but I've always got my eyes peeled. One day I'll know the joy of that peachy shade. Sigh.
