As I explained in part 1 of my June favorites, I loved so
many things this month that I split them up into two posts, my beauty and pop
culture faves.
I tend to splurge a lot more during the summer so I have a
lot of new products I’ve been using non-stop!
I’ve been switching between two highlighters for the most
part: the Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder in Audrey, which is an intense light gold,
and the Elf shimmering facial whip in Lilac Petal, which is a liquid/cream
pinky highlight. Both look absolutely stunning and are not for the faint at
heart! I'll be doing a full review on at least one of these highlights, as I don't think enough people are talking about them. The Elf one was only a dollar and it is pure, liquid glow.
As for lip products, I do rotate through my collection quite
a bit, but the Buxom lipstick in Dolly and the Colourpop Lippie Stix in Aquarius have been getting a lot of love since I bought them. Neither are what
I would call a summer shade. Dolly is a sheer, slightly shimmery mauve and
Aquarius is a cool-toned pinky nude. Both are easy to wear and the formulas are
very comfortable and pigmented.
From left to right: Audrey, Lilac Petal (blended), Dolly, Aquarius
On my eyes, I’ve been perfecting my wings with the Rimmelgel eyeliner and the Elf angled eyeliner brush. The gel liner is richly
pigmented, creamy and doesn’t budge once it has set. The angled brush is
perfect for applying it!
I ordered 5 Makeup Geek eyeshadows this month and have been
loving all of them! Shimma Shimma is now my go-to highlight. I won’t describe
them all in detail (this post will do that just fine!) but I love the formulas,
pigmentation and the price of these shadows. I’ll definitely be purchasing more
in the future.
On the skincare side of things, which I rarely discuss on my blog, I’ve
been using the Hey Honey 24Seven Honey day and night moisturizing cream almost
every day since receiving it in my June Ipsy bag. My skin leans on the drier
side, so I love a heavy-duty moisturizer. This gives intense hydration but it
sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel greasy! I’m going to give an Origins
moisturizer a try next, but if that doesn’t work out I think I’ll be purchasing
a full-size of this Hey Honey one.
In other news, I’ve finally gotten a new phone so I’ll be
posting more often in the next few weeks! I have a lot of posts and reviews
planned so stay tuned!
Xx Katie
Makeup Geek and Colorpop are too brands I really want to try! Colorpop doesn't deliver to Ireland though and it makes me sad! :( Highlight is so pretty and Aquarius is a beautiful shade! x

Why are there so many brands I want to try out! Firstly I need to try out Makeup Geek eyeshadows but I think I'm going to have to hold out until next payday as I really want to try colourpop - although they may not be summer shades, they are still stunning and I've heard such amazing things about the formula xx

Your blog mostly helpful for women's. In every month you told them about the new beauty tips. Further, my Roofers in Waterbury CT gives you opportunity to install the roofs.
