February Ipsy Bag Review
It feels like February just started, but here I am with my Ipsy bag! It arrived just a couple of days ago so I haven't been able to test everything out properly, but I have first impressions of everything and I can't wait to share them with you.
This month I redeemed some of my points for an item that I've been wanting for AGES, so I ended up getting six products in my bag.
IBY Beauty Highlighter in Bubbly
I love highlighters, so I was happy to get this pinky-toned highlight in my bag! It feels smooth and creamy and is the most pink highlighter that I own. It almost looks more like a blush topper. The sample size isn't great, but I can't imagine ever using a full-size highlighter so this will be nice for traveling and trying out this brand.
VENeffect Skin Care Anti-Aging Lip Treatment
This one isn't shown in my photos because I gave it to my mom. I tried it out a couple of times and it felt very cooling on the lips. I didn't like the scent at all, which is why I passed it on. It smells kind of minty and menthol-y, definitely not my thing. My mom likes the scent though, so she'll get some use out of it!
Luxie 514 Blush Brush
I've gotten at least one Luxie brush in past boxes, but they were always eyeshadow or eyeliner brushes. I've been needed a new blush brush for quite a while and this one seems promising! The bristles are very soft and dispense product evenly. The brush is really pretty, with a light pink handle and rose gold accents.
Elizabeth Mott Whatup Beaches Matte Bronzer
Just what I needed, another dime-sized bronzer. *eyeroll* This powder feels soft, the color is very light, but it takes forever to coat my brush with product so I likely won't use this. I might take out the pan and use it as an eyeshadow in my Z palette.
Nyx Butter Lipstick in Ripe Berry
I love the Nyx Butter lipstick that I already have (in Snowcap) so I was very excited to get this one! Ripe Berry is a dark brick red with a hint of berry/plum to it. It's not super pigmented but it can be built up. I actually like that it is a more sheer color, when I wear dark lipstick I often like to tone it down a bit. I wore this yesterday as a tint and I really liked how it looked!
Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals
I have been looking for this gorgeous drugstore highlighter for MONTHS. I've heard so much about it and at first it was limited edition, so I thought I'd never get my hands on it. Thankfully Wet n Wild made this part of their permanent collection but I still couldn't find it at my local drugstores! It popped up on Ipsy a few weeks ago and without hesitation I spent my points on it. I'm not disappointed! It's so smooth, shimmery, and it looks so much more expensive than it is.
As for the bag itself, I think this is my least favorite bag ever. It's quite plain and not my style. It's blue jean material with neon orange accents. I hate the color orange so I don't think I'll be using this! The products in the bag, on the other hand, are mostly ones that I will use and I'm happy with them. I would have liked to see a Valentine's Day themed bag!
Would you be excited about any of these products?
