April Favorites

It feels like ages since I last did a favorites post! Most months seem to go by quickly, but April was full of exams, end of semester projects, and stress so it seemed to drag on. But there are a ton of pop culture and beauty things I discovered this month that made it all (almost) worth the stress!

Top Five Eyeshadow Palettes

 Looking through my eyeshadow collection, I definitely tend to use palettes more often than singles, duos, or quads. Palettes have so much variability and you can use one palette to create many different eye looks, therefore I reach for them on the daily. Some are better than others, of course, so here are the ones that I use the most often!

Review: Benefit Cheekathon Blush Palette

I had been wanting to try the Benefit Box o’ Powders for ages, so when Benefit released this limited-edition palette with five full size powders I knew I had to go for it!

The Benefit Cheekathon blush palette includes four full-sized blushes and one bronzer. Dandelion, Rockateur, Dallas, and Coralista are the blushes and the beloved Hoola is the bronzer.

I cannot believe how quickly April is going by! My first year of university will be officially ending with finals week at the end of the month and I feel so unprepared. But I’m excited for the weather to warm up and for work this summer!

Baby Powder Mascara: Hack or Wack?

It’s time for another round of hack or wack! This one was suggested to me by beautyandthebrunette.co.uk and it sounded both simple and intriguing, so I decided to give it a try! The idea is to put on your first coat of mascara, add a bit of baby powder to your lashes, and then add your second coat. This will supposedly make your eyelashes look longer and thicker than your standard two coats of mascara.

Favorite Comedy Shows

Although this is primarily a beauty blog and I love all things make-up, one of my other passions is TV. I watch TV the way other people listen to music: that is, I’ll watch anything and everything. When other people ask me what my favorite show is, I honestly don’t know what to tell them because I watch so many amazing shows! So for this new series on my blog I’ll be breaking my favorites up into categories.
