Top Five Nude Lipsticks
For the past month or so I’ve been wearing nothing but nude lipsticks and I seem to always gravitate towards the same five. These are the perfect my-lips-but-better shades!
A recent purchase that I love is the Kate by Rimmel nude lipstick in #45. The Kate line is my favorite drugstore lipstick so I was stoked when I saw that my local drugstore finally had their nude collection in stock! These have been out in the UK for a while but I believe they were just recently launched in the US, so keep your eyes out for them! There are a large range of nude shades but I went with #45, a dusty mauvy brown shade (great description, I know). The lipstick is so creamy and pigmented, for around $5.00 you can’t go wrong.
For a nude lipstick that is more on the pink side, MAC Hue is the perfect shade. It isn’t quite as pink as Creme Cup or Angel, but it is still a bit pinker than my natural lips. This is a glaze lipstick so it provides a nice sheer finish on the lips.
A liquid lipstick I’ve been loving lately is the Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in the shade Namaste. The formula of this is so nice, I even prefer it over my Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick! This one is trickier to apply than a regular lipstick, but it stays put for hours and has a lovely matte finish. I’m obsessed.
The darkest nude that I’ve included is Mary Kay Signature lipstick in Apricot Glaze. This has been a favorite of mine for a few years now because it’s so nicely pigmented and has a velvety formula with a subtle shimmer. If your lips are naturally darker or more brown-toned, this would be a great nude for you!
My final pick is the Nyx Butter Lipstick in the shade Snow Cap. This is similar to Hue but less pink and it is so easy to throw this on and go! This lipstick can be applied sheer or you can build it up to show the color more. With a nice glossy, creamy finish this is a great choice that is suitable for a huge variety of skin tones.
