Everyday Makeup

I absolutely love reading and watching everyday makeup posts. I feel that it’s the best way to really know what products someone is loving at the moment. Going through my make-up, I use A LOT of products every single day. So without further ado…

After washing and moisturizing my face, I apply my favorite foundation which is MAC’s Studio Sculpt in NW20 (full review here!) This is a medium-to-full coverage foundation and it leaves my skin flawless and glowing. I apply it with a kabuki brush as I think it’s too thick to apply with a sponge. Next, I give my face some dimension with a Nars bronzer in Laguna (full review here!). I use it to lightly contour and I also use a powder brush to bronze my forehead and nose. On the top of my cheekbones, I use the Becca liquid shimmering skin perfector in opal to highlight. I also use the Becca pressed powder shimmering skin perfector in opal just under my eyebrows and on my cupid’s bow. Lastly, I apply a Mary Kay blush in Tropical Sun, a light peach tone, to the apples of my cheeks.
Update: as I was going to link the blush I use, I found out that this is actually an eyeshadow...oops?

For any blemishes and my dark circles, I use a combination of concealers. I like Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge and Rimmel’s Wake Me Up concealer.

Moving on to eyebrows, I actually use a matte eyeshadow to fill in my ridiculously dark eyebrows. I’ve never found a pencil or powder dark enough, so I use the top right eyeshadow in Maybelline’s The Nudes palette. That shade is a perfect match!

Two products I bought recently and have been using every day since I got them are the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen and Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Luscious mascara. The eyeliner just glides across the upper lash line and stays in place all day! I love it, along with the mascara, which makes my lashes look thick and long.

Everything I’ve just mentioned rarely varies; I use those products every time I put on make-up. As for eyeshadow and lipstick, it changes from day to day. Most often I will use either Stila’s In the Light palette (full review here!) or Flirt!’s Flowerific Limited Edition eyeshadow palette. These shadows are easy to wear, blend like a dream, and are my two favorite palettes.

The lip product I wear differs a lot, too. I am a lipstick junkie and I have far too many to stick to only one. I’ve narrowed it down to three depending on if I’m going for a nude, pink, or red lip look. Nyx’s ‘Snow Cap’ is a great nude. If you read my recent post all about pink lipsticks, you’ll know I’ve been obsessed with a bright pink like MAC’s Hot Gossip! And finally, you can’t go wrong with Rimmel Kate 107, a gorgeous dark red.

And that is everything that goes on my face! It seems like a lot when I write it out. Anyway, I’m hoping to do an update on my everyday makeup every couple of months, or whenever there is a substantial change in my make-up routine.

What are some products you use every single day?

Xx Katie
